Creative Colour

Inspired by the Calendar below, this image of growth and newly budding plants was created by commission for a dear friend of the owner of the Calendar, to brighten and soothe the senses in a time of healing.

This collection of 12 collages was made with a special companion in mind.  Celebrating life, journey and friendship, the images are made from all kinds of paper, paints, inks, crayons and tissues.  Each one portrays a particular month and season and was accompanied by a few lines from the poet Rumi.  Needless to say, once the year elapsed the calendar was taken apart and gathered together.  The individual months can now be appreciated as a portrayal of a whole year of life, death and beauty!

This image was inspired by the ocean depths, a long time fascination of mine.  
It is a mixed media collage, approx. 35cm square.

This collage was made as I was gathering ideas for the fabric hanging I made called 
'Benet's Banner.'
It is comprised of a variety of papers and inks.

Benet's Banner was made on commission and with a dearly beloved friend in mind.  
Benet was a friend and an inspiration to many and this banner is hung in his memory.  
He said "there are no paths, there is only walking."
